Wings of War community at Yahoo gathers over 3,000 players

The game fans from all the world keep in touch through Internet; created on August 2009, the community Wings of War Aerodrome count up over 1,000 members

The Yahoo community dedicated to Wings of War continues to grow and reached the remarkable number of 3,000 members on June 27, when the player Paul Buckle, nickname "buks1968", joined the group. The community was founded by Chris Heinzmann, nickname "Steamrunner", a player from Arizona, on June 20, 2004, about one month after the game publication in USA. Since then, step by step, players from all around the world joined the newsgroup. On October 2007, it registered the thousandth member and one year after, reached the 2,000 members. Today, over 3,000 players keep in touch through the group, exchanging ideas, scenarios, optional rules, appointments, explanations and extending information. The Yahoo community was the first one dedicated to Wings of War game, and is also the largest, but there are many others in several languages and countries. The "Wings of War Aerodrome", created on August 2009 by Keith Upton, nickname "Col.Hajj", is a forum which organizes also contests that give prizes like game sets, as the recent ones that challenged the members to present the best balloons hunting scenario and the best re-painted miniature.
